We have been very busy at ...Have You Any Wool? - so busy in fact that we haven't had much time to sit down and update the blog! For this we apologise and promise faithfully that we will update you more often...

Secondly, thank you to everyone who came to our opening night back in December. It was a great success and we hope you enjoyed it!

Celebrity, Marcus Akin from last year's Big Brother was kind enough to officially open the shop. He brought with him a key that was used as a prop in the Big Brother house. We now have it on display in the shop - feel free to come and have a look!

Opening Night

Things have been a bit of a nightmare recently, what with burst water pipes, faulty electricity, the credit card machine company placing an order with the wrong person and our main supplier of wool delivering to the wrong address resulting in the wool being returned to Germany!

We are now looking forward to our Opening Night event this Saturday, the 5th December at 7pm.

Special guest, Marcus Akin from this year's Big Brother will be opening the shop, so pop down and say hello :)

Shop Progress

We have been hard at work painting the shop and progress is being made!

It is slow progress, but at least it is progress :)

The phone line is in as well as the broadband. We can now offer out future customers free WiFi and it means I can feed my Twitter addiction while I am at work.

The kitchen is well underway - the floor is down and the walls are plastered.

This weekend will be spent doing yet more painting and then hopefully we can actually start to get some proper shelving in and put together much flat-packed furniture.

Oh, and I have the most fabulous desk, ever.

First Post!

Welcome to our Blog!

Things are in progress - the website is up and running, courtesy of www.giruff.com and we even have our very own Blog which will be really handy to update our customers with news, special offers and events (and lets me avoid having to do any complicated web design!!).

We now have the keys to the shop premisis and as you can see from the photo below, there is a LOT of work to be done!

The shop was previously a wool shop too, but we are updating things and converting half of the shop to a "Coffee Corner". This means the kitchen is being refurbished and the main shop is being adapted. Most importantly, there is pink paint!

Over the next couple of weeks, I'll update the blog with photos of our progress and eventually with details of our opening night. Watch this space :)
